Code Of Conduct

We are here to teach your kids the fundamentals of football and team play. We are here to stress good sportsmanship, self-discipline, cooperation as a team, personal commitment and always putting out your best effort. The emphasis is on fun with maximum participation leading towards learning in a recreational environment. Winning is a by-product of this emphasis.
Parents
  1. I understand that it is a privilege, not a right, for my child to participate in WHPW programs.
  2. I understand my presence and my attitude have a profound impact on my child and the program he participates in.
  3. I will be present and encourage my child to participate and be positive.
  4. I will get my child to practices and games on time.
  5. I will allow the coaches and officials to do their job.
  6. I will encourage my child in each accomplishment - big or small.
  7. I will also encourage his teammates in their accomplishments, big or small.
  8. I will relax and have fun and encourage my son to do the same.
  9. I will encourage my child to always put out his best effort.
  10. I will encourage my child to listen to his coaches and not be disruptive during practice.
  11. I will promote good sportsmanship, by example and encourage my child to do the same.
  12. I will speak to the coaches or team commissioner before or after practice to have my questions answered or air any concerns I have with the program or my child.
  13. I will not be disruptive during practice.
  14. I will not interrupt practice to try and speak to the coaches.
  15. I will not interrupt games to try and speak to the coaches.
  16. I will not shout expletives from the sidelines during practice or games.
  17. I will not run onto the field during practice and disrupt the team's activities.
  18. I will remain in the stands during games and not disrupt my child or his teammates on the sideline.
  19. I will observe practices from the designated parent and spectator areas no matter where my child is on the field.
  20. I will share the information in this code of conduct with my child and advise him of his responsibilities as a player.
  21. I WILL NOT SMOKE in and around the practice fields, sidelines, the kids or any Games.
Players
  1. I understand that it is a privilege not a right for me to participate in WHPW programs.
  2. I understand that if I am disobedient or disrespectful to my coaches, an official or one of my teammates that I will be removed from the program.
  3. I will treat my coaches, the officials and my teammates with respect.
  4. I will cooperate with my coaches and follow any rules established.
  5. I will always try my hardest.

I have read, understand and agree to abide by this code of conduct. I also understand that failure of myself, my spouse or my child or children to abide by the rules set forth in this code of conduct can result in any or all of the following:
  1. Suspension from participation for myself and/or my child.
  2. Having myself banned from attending practices, games or both.
  3. Expulsion from the league for myself and/or my child.


Coaches/Staff
  1. I understand that each youth has the right to be treated with respect and to be viewed as a person capable of reasonable respectful behavior.
  2. I understand the tremendous responsibility of coaching and the profound impact I have on the athletes in my care.
  3. I will treat each child, parent, and other coach or official with respect and dignity.
  4. I will learn the strengths and weaknesses of each child and do my best to give them the maximum opportunity for success.
  5. I will listen and communicate with the parents, and other coaches and officials.
