Volunteering Opportunities

The Watchung Hills Pop Warner program has thrived for 46 years thanks to the commitment and dedication of the entire community.  The support from countless families over the years has lead to Watchung Hills being one of the most recognized and successful programs in the country.  To continue our storied history we need to continue the legacy of support from everyone associated with the program.  With that, we humbly ask for your time to help with one of the following opportunities:

• Snack Shack Duties:  At home games our snack shack provides tremendous value for the program.  We don't stop at hot dogs and hamburgers, we serve walking tacos, pulled pork, brisket and a host of other high quality fare.  With the grill going, the fans cheering and the kids playing, it's not only a snack shack, it's part of the environment our program creates.

• Summer Snack Stand:  With practices running late into the evening during summer months, it's tough for families to coordinate dinner schedules and ensure their hungry players and cheerleaders are well fed.  To that end, we have implemented a program to provide pizza, meatball heroes, burgers, hot dogs, drinks and other quick bites after practices during the month of August.  

• Game Day Operations:  We have many amazing parents that provide their time coaching, participating on the board and various other functions.  During game day, we can have thousands of people visiting our complex.  Announcing games, helping put out the field equipment, holding down and distance markers, helping clean up around the field and parking lots are all invaluable functions that keep our facility pristine and ensure an unparalleled experience for our kids.  The more people we have helping on game day the better.

• Coaching:  If you have coaching experience, football experience, cheer experience or simply love working with kids, we'd love to hear from you.  For all applications to coach, please visit the coaching requirements section under registration and submit your application and paperwork for consideration.  The more coaches we have, the more instruction and guidance our players receive.

• Other:  We are always open to new ideas.  If you have a special skill, idea that can help improve the program or want to help in any other way, please don't hesitate to reach out.  Fresh faces and new ideas are part of what has made our program thrive.  Grab a coach, or a board member and let us know what you think!
