With our first game approaching this weekend, we would like to remind all parents of some game day rules.
 
Fields
The only people allowed on the field are Players/Cheerleaders, Coaches, Commissioners & Team Moms who have been certified by the Mountain Valley Conference.  In addition, we ask that you please keep your children off the field at all times unless they are participating in a game.  We cannot have boys throwing footballs or girls doing cartwheels on the sidelines while other games are going on.  We risk a great liability if anyone gets injured. 
 
 Field House
The Field House is only to be used by MVC Officials and WHPW Board Members.  At no time should a parent be in the house handing out equipment or uniforms, as this is the role of our Director of Equipment (Dan Allgor).  Additionally, the only bathrooms that should be used are located outside at the rear of the house.   At no time should there be anyone but the above mentioned Officials using the inside bathrooms.  
 
 PA Booth
Only Coaches, Announcers, Spotters and Photographers are allowed in the PA Booth at any time. 
 
With every rule comes an exception and that, of course, is for our Volunteers.  Obviously, if you need to be in one of these locations to fulfill your volunteer obligations, we ask that you only remain there during your allocated time.
 
We greatly appreciate your understanding and for making WHPW a great organization!

Pop Warner Night at Watchung Hills High School

Watchung Hills Regional High School has invited us to a home football game to celebrate Pop Warner Night. The date is Friday September 10th and will be held rain or shine.  The players and cheerleaders for each level will be announced before the start of the game.  It is always a fun night for the kids.  Hope everyone can make it!

Congratulations to the Jr. Midget and Pee Wee cheerleaders for their exciting performances at the Eastern Region Cheerleading Competition at Sovereign Bank Arena this past weekend.  The Jr. Midgets performed on Saturday and placed 4th in the large novice division out of a field of 11.  While the Pee Wees performed on Sunday and placed 5th in the small novice division out of a field of 16.  The top two teams from each category move on to  compete in the National Championships in Disney World the first week of December.  The Eastern Region consists of 6 states - NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD and DC.
